PILPG's Lecture Series on Transitional Justice for Civil Society - Ukraine

non-Judicial processes

This section provides an overview of the key non-judicial processes that may contribute to a state’s transitional justice efforts. In particular, it introduces some of the tools that can be used for the documentation of human rights violations, as well as how documentation can be used as a tool for transitional justice. It also discusses truth and reconciliation commissions, specific UN investigative mechanisms, and the lustration process.

A Q&A session on this section was held on 6 October, 2021, with Professor Nikhil Narayan and Professor Milena Sterio. A recording of the session is available in this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/rec/share/YhJ2tg2A4g4RLekhBXXoicM3j7THYSOl7sHkXk5qb1t_pwAiddtwFAwVfoUbgJ7P.qtZ8Ye2mQfoa9V-m
